Alpha Course

Starting Wed 15th April 2026 at our church (side entrance) 7:00 - 9.30pm

Alpha is for people who wish to explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. All are welcome, no matter your background or beliefs. This introductory meeting includes a free meal, talk and open discussion. Come and try it out!

Subsequent sessions will be on Wednesdays at 7:00pm. For more information about the course contact Jonathan, James or Sue via alpha@olneybaptist.org.uk.

What to expect

Alpha is made for people who are curious about faith and wish to find out more. You’ll meet people from our local community and get to know them over the course of your Alpha. Each session kicks off with some time to connect and eat together. Food is provided free of charge.

The Alpha talks are shared as a video episode for everyone to watch together.

Each talk is designed to spark conversation and unpacks a different question. In all, the Alpha talks are designed to give an overview of the key beliefs of the Christian faith.

The most important part of any Alpha – an open conversation about the week’s topic.

You can share your thoughts and questions, or just see what other people made of it. There’s no pressure to say anything or come to any conclusions – just a safe space for everyone’s unique perspective.
